Our Mission as a Youth Center
The Perg Youth Center (JUZ Perg) is a central location for open youth work in the region and offers diverse opportunities for young people to develop, meet people, and receive support.
The “Perg Youth Center” association is committed to supporting Perg’s young people through a common meeting place (the youth center) and through age-appropriate events of all kinds.
The youth center aims to provide meaningful leisure activities, take advantage of opportunities for cultural education, receive necessary information about all issues affecting young people, and learn to take responsibility. To this end, the youth center offers appropriate spaces for experience and action that enable and encourage the further personal development (in the sense of greater independence) of the young people.
Supporting Youth – Locally Rooted, Internationally Connected
The association supports young people in dealing with personal problems (applying for jobs, homework, etc.). The youth center does not compete with other Perg youth organizations and clubs but rather complements them.
Funding bodies: City of Perg, State of Upper Austria – Youth Department, SHV Perg
The Perg Youth Center also offers international youth work. We organize international youth exchanges and study visits on various topics as part of the ERASMUS+ program. The EUROPEAN SOLIDARITY CORPS program allows us to invite young people to the Perg Youth Center to complete volunteer work of up to one year at the Perg Youth Center.
